History and Principles
The Agape Students’ Union was founded in the August of 2023 by the 2024 and 2025-year groups. The vision of student-involved development in Agape Academy International is one engrained in a student from the moment they step into this harbor of involvement and imagination. In the words of the Union’s very first president, “Responsibility and initiative are in arms reach of any student willing to stretch out to grab it.” The idea to create such a Union was met with encouragement and approval from the class teachers before receiving conclusive approval from the administration. The Union sought to initiate problem-solving action, encourage individual responsibility and accountability, and to embody its motto: “Be the change you are looking for”.
Students of the Union and of Agape Academy International are encouraged by Biblical principles. An example of one such principle is the instruction giving to us to learn from the ant. The ant who gathers and stores in the summer does not do so only for his individual survival in the winter but primarily for the survival of the youth who, although were unable to gather in the recent summer, will be the ones to gather in the next; thus, preserving the existence of the colony in the most optimal way possible. The changes made by the Union will most likely go unexperienced by its initiators, but it encourages the future members to be appreciative of those who came before them and forefathers of even greater things.
