Abeka is a Christian American-based curriculum recognized in over 60 countries that offers courses from KG3 through to the 12th grade. Their mission is to create excellence in education from a Christian perspective. With our foundation built on Christ and our motto being “Excellence in Christ”, there was no curriculum that fit our educational and moral standards like Abeka.
Curriculum Format
The curriculum comprises 170 lessons that span four 9-week quarters.
In each quarter, students usually complete one exam, two tests, and roughly twenty quizzes per subject, which are used to evaluate the students through an A-F grading scheme.
Each course requires students to complete daily assignments such as classwork and homework.
High school students are evaluated by a GPA scale out of 4.0.
Our 12th Grade students are exposed to elective courses, specific courses which can be chosen by students over other electives
Some elective courses, known as weighted or honors courses, are worth a 4.5 GPA score. These courses are Physics, Pre-Calculus, and Spanish 2.
Post-Abeka
Upon completing the Abeka Curriculum, students have a plethora of options to choose from in their pursuit of tertiary education.
Ghanaian universities require no more than an Abeka diploma from students to enroll.
Students have the option to supplement their diploma with a standardized test such as the SAT or ACT. Standardized tests are especially helpful for those who desire to pursue further education outside the nation.
Students have the option to matriculate in over 60 countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
